How do you conduct an oral history interview? What does it take to design and implement an oral history project? What adjustments are needed when you are interviewing immigrants? We’ll address these questions and more at Oral History in the Mid-Atlantic Region (OHMAR)’s Fall Workshop, sponsored by the Immigration and Ethnic History Society (IEHS), with Monmouth University as our host sponsor. Join us for an interactive exploration of the oral historian’s basic toolkit, with an additional focus on how to handle issues that arise when interviewing immigrants. Whether you have a definite plan to work with immigrants or just want to know what to do if one of your narrators turns out to be an immigrant, our workshop is for you! Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Registration opens August 1, 2017 and space is limited. Details available through OHMAR https://ohmar.org/ and IEHS https://iehs.org/. Any questions? Contact Anne Rush at firstname.lastname@example.org.
