Jessica Taylor is an associate professor of history and Director of the Center for Oral History at Virginia Tech. She brings together her interests in community-engaged teaching and research on environmental history in the U.S. south. She has received the Ernest A. Lynton Early Career Award from the Engaged Scholarship Consortium, and the Certificate of Teaching Excellence from Virginia Tech. Taylor received her PhD from the University of Florida and her BA and MA from the College of William and Mary.
