We hope to explore the ways in which the oral history community is enabling individuals with unique needs, including but not limited to visual, hearing, mobility, or cognitive challenges, to participate in oral history as both interviewers and narrators. How do we share oral histories, both in brick and mortar archives and on the web, in broadly accessible and inclusive formats? In what ways is the oral history community documenting the disability rights movement and the experience of those with special needs? Who is the audience for such interviews and how do we prioritize levels of accessibility when resources to do so are limited?
