Proposed Changes in OHMAR’s Constitution and By-Laws


Below are several changes the Board has proposed we make in our Constitution and By-Laws. As required by the Constitution, the membership will be asked to vote on these changes in the near future. Please review them below so that you will be prepared to cast your vote.

Throughout the OHMAR Constitution and By-Laws:

Add page numbers.

Change the word Newsletter to E-Bulletin.

In Article IV of the OHMAR Constitution:

Change the wording of the first paragraph of Article IV so that it reads as follows (changed language is underlined):

Section 1.   The Officers of OHMAR shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, Communications Director, and Development Director. All of the Officers shall be elected for a term of two years with the right to stand for reelection.  Effective January 2016, the president and vice president shall be elected in odd-numbered years, the secretary, communications director and development director shall be elected in even-numbered years. The treasurer shall be selected in even-numbered years and can serve as many terms as the Board deems necessary. Officers will take office immediately upon election.

In Article VI of the OHMAR By-Laws:

Change the 3 to a 2 in what now reads as “Section 3.†(This will correct a typo.)
