Jan K. Herman served for some three decades with the Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and injected oral history-based content into the institution’s journal. Because of the interest in naval medical history that his articles generated, Jan expanded his collection efforts and produced a series of video oral history-based documentaries covering Navy medicine during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Jan has also served on the Board of Directors for OHMAR.
